Say No to Corruption!

Almost 70 years ago, on 14th August 1947 Pakistan came into being. A country was made to benefit its citizens. As Pakistan progressed in its early years, the economy of the country began to increase. This increase in the economy began to bring money in the country.
Now my dear readers, money is a very powerful thing and can make anyone forget their faiths. When the officials of the country saw this much money, they forgot about their beloved country and started using the country’s money to build their own private fortunes.

This is called corruption. Let me make it easy for you. Corruption is dishonesty or fraudulent conduct by those in power, actions like bribery
Annually, a certain amount of money is fixed for each and everything in the country for example roads. But at the end of the year we do not see that much money spent on the constructions of the roads. They look just as they were in the beginning of the year. So where did the money go? Well, it goes in the pockets of the officials, of course. And that is the money we pay to the government in the form of taxes.
Corruption is not a very small problem. It can effect a country’s economy very badly. Corruption simply does not mean bribery, it is more than that. It stops progress in the country, gives birth to crimes and often leads to wars.
Most of the departments of Pakistan are corrupted. If you have a pending work in any of the departments, present them with a couple of thousand rupee notes and your work will be done in a blink. This causes the deserving people to keep waiting in the line and most of the time face rejection. Corrupt organisational heads leads to inattention towards the poor people and the poor society.

Now what is the solution to this problem?
The most effective way to stop this is to empower the citizens of the country, spread awareness in the country. The people should know what is happening with the taxes or with the money which they are paying to the government. They should demand to know about it. When the government will see that the people are watching they each and every step, they’ll be more careful to use the public’s money.
A more practical way to stop corruption is to reform or change the whole financial and the management system of the country. If there is corruption in a department this means the whole department is corrupted. From the head of the department to the clerk of the department, everyone is corrupted. You can’t just replace a few employees. In situations like this a complete reform is needed.
So, this means if the public or the citizens of the country want their country corrupt free then they need to stand against it themselves. And say no to corruption.
